GMV Max is an automated ad campaign type that optimizes both paid and organic traffic for your TikTok Shop. When you create a GMV Max campaign, all relevant conversions will be attributed to GMV Max while the campaign is running.

About attribution for Product GMV Max

When you create a Product GMV Max campaign, all paid and organic orders for the products you chose for your campaign will be attributed to GMV Max while the campaign is running. If someone orders a product featured in your GMV Max campaign while your campaign is running, the order will be attributed to GMV Max whether or not they engaged with one of your ads.

About attribution for LIVE GMV Max

When you create a LIVE GMV Max campaign, all paid and organic conversions in the LIVE event you chose for your campaign will be attributed to GMV Max. Orders from all shops during the LIVE event will be attributed to your LIVE GMV Max campaign, including orders from shops that weren't used to set up the GMV Max campaign. If someone leaves the LIVE event to place an order, this order will not be attributed to the LIVE GMV Max campaign.

Differences between Shop Ads and GMV Max

  • Shop Ads incorporate total paid orders from all the products in the shop that occurred within 7 days of clicking on an ad or within 1 day of viewing an ad.

  • GMV Max ads incorporate total paid and organic orders from promoted products or promoted liverooms while a campaign is active. For Product GMV Max, an order is attributed to the campaign when someone purchases a product within 1 day of clicking on the product. For LIVE GMV max, an order is attributed to the campaign when someone orders a product within 1 day of clicking on the liveroom.


Examples

For example, say you're running a GMV Max campaign for Product A.

  • If a customer views or clicks on an ad for Product A and then buys Product A within 1 day, the purchase will be attributed to GMV Max as long as the campaign is still active.

  • If a customer views or clicks on an ad for Product A and then buys Product A 3 days later, the purhcase won't be attributed to GMV Max.

  • If a customer views or clicks on an ad for Product A and then buys a different product from your shop, the purchase won't be attributed to GMV Max.

  • If a customer purchases Product A while the GMV Max campaign is active, but doesn't view or click on any ads, the purchase will be attributed to GMV Max.
