How to troubleshoot identity verification issues

Last updated: September 2024

TikTok will occasionally ask you to verify your TikTok for Business account. A 6-digit verification code will be sent to the email address or phone number on your account. Enter the code on the sign-in screen to verify it's you. If verification is successful, you will be granted access to your account.

How to troubleshoot verification issues

If verification is unsuccessful:

  1. Ensure you have access to the email or phone number linked to your TikTok for Business account. Confirm the email address you entered is the same one you used to register on TikTok Ads Manager.

  2. Check all email folders such as spam, junk, trash, deleted or archived items. If you use Gmail, check your Primary, Social, Promotions or Updates folders. Check any "unknown sender" folders in your text messages.

  3. Request the verification code again.

If you still haven't received the code after trying the above steps, please try registering and using another email address.

Next steps

If you no longer have access to the registered email or phone number linked to your TikTok for Business account, please contact your account manager using your company email address or fill out this form to request help regaining access to your account.
